Mehdi Ghasemi - Conductor of Tehran Choir

Mehdi Ghasemi

Graduated from Art University of Tehran, he studied under supervision of masters like Heshmat Sanjari, Sharif Lotfi, Ahmad Pejman, Kambiz Roshanravan and Houshang Kamkar in Iran, Edward Mirzoyan in Armenia and Nurhan Arman, music director of “Sinfonia Toronto” in Canada. Mehdi Ghasemi is currently teaching in music faculty of Art University of Tehran and is the principal conductor of Tehran Choir.

Tehran Choir has won the second prize at the ChoirFest Middle East 2015
The Tehran Choir performed "’S Wonderful", a popular song by American composer George Gershwin, "O Beloved" by Iranian composer Ahmad Pejman and "Agnus Dei' by American composer Samuel Barber at the festival.
